Richard Neale Hedeman aka Tuff born on March 2, 1963, in El Paso, Texas, USA. After attending high school, he studied at Sul Ross State University. Tuff is an American retired three times PRCA World Champion bull rider as well as 1995 Professional Bull Riders.
Having grown up in West Texas where he first introduced to racetracks and eventually developed his passion for bull riding. In the year 1980, Tuff won his first Bull Riding while he was studying at high school. Following that year, he won the award for Team Roping and received All-Around title.
After graduating from high school, Tuff enrolled at the Sul Ross State University where he became a member of the rodeo team. Then participated in bull riding, team roping and steer wrestling.
Tuff Hedeman’s career off when he filled his PRCA permit at a single rodeo in 1983 as a bronc rider. Hedemen quickly became famous as a bull rider ho rode bulls also, traveled with close friends to cut down on costs. Thereafter, he went ahead to win three PRCA titles and later included in the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame.
After that, in 1995, the American bull rider won the PBR World Championship despite an encounter with Bodacious. As a result, Hedemen sustained numerous broken bones in his face. Sadly, the next year, he lost the PBR world title and became second.
Again, luck wasn’t in his favor and Tuff positioned at the third in 1997 PBR season. His last ride was at the PBR Bud Light Cup Series in Odessa, Texas in 1998 that resulted injured seriously. Afterward, he got serious about his health, the bull rider officially retired in 1999.
