The rapper was born Jacques Webster, Jr. on April 30, 1992, in Houston, Texas. From ages one to six, Travis Scott lived with his grandmother in Missouri City, a middle-class suburban area bordering southwest Houston.

He later moved to the suburbs, where his father owned a business. After graduating from Elkins High School, he moved on to the University of Texas at San Antonio but dropped out to focus on his career in music.
