Born in New York on October 9, 1975. His nationality is American and ethnicity is mixed(Irish, Welsh, English and Japanese).

He was born to English rock band Beatle’s legendary member John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Sean was introduced to the world of music early on in his life. He shares his birthday with his father. He was born on the 35th birthday of his dad.

He attended Kindergarten in Tokyo. He was then enrolled in Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland, Ethical Culture Fieldston School, Dalton School. He later attended the Columbia University but dropped out after the first three semesters to pursue his career in music.


Sean debuted in the music industry at the early age of five when he recited a story on his mother’s album titled ‘Season of Glass’. He performed ‘It’s Alright’ soon after and was also featured in the Michael Jackson’s ‘Moonwalker’ video.

During his early years, as a teenager, he had numerous collaborations with Lenny Kravitz and other bands. He became the member of the group ‘Butter 08’ and provided vocals and bass guitar for the group.

He contributed vocals to Del Tha Funkee Homosapien. He performed several classic songs by the Beatles on national television in 2001. Since then, Lennon faded out from the spotlight but didn’t stop collaborating with various bands and artists.

Lennon signed with ‘Capitol Records’ after the demise of the ‘Grand Royal Records’ in 2001. His next album ‘Friendly Fire’ was released in October 2006.

After remaining away from the media for about five years, Lennon performed on ‘Late Show with David Letterman’, ‘Late Night with Conan O’Brien and ‘The Sharon Osbourne Show’.
