Ryan Kwanten is an Australian actor who became famous for playing Jason Stackhouse on the hit HBO vampire drama True Blood.
Ryan was born on 28 November 1976 in Sydney, Australia. His nationality is Australian and belongs to Dutch ethnicity.
He was born to Kris(mother) and Eddie Kwanten(father). His father is Dutch. He was raised by his parent in a friendly and entertaining along with his two brothers Mitchell and Lloyd. He was highly interested in the acting field from the very early was highly dedicated.

Ryan finished his high school at St Paul’s Catholic College, in Manly, New South Wales, after which he enrolled at the University of Sydney, from where he obtained a degree in commerce.
At the age of 15, his mother was dropping off his little brother (who aspired to be an actor) at an audition at an acting agency. Ryan Kwanten was in the car too, headed to swim practice. The woman running the audition mistakenly grabbed him and told him to audition. He got into the agency but his brother didn’t.
In 1992 Ryan Kwanten landed his first acting, a recurring role on the Australian TV series A Country Practice. At the age of 21, he landed his breakthrough role as Vinnie Patterson on the enormously popular Australian soap opera Home and Away. He remained on the show for five years, from 1997-2002 shortly after his character married and became a father.
He moved to the United States and was cast as Jay Robertson in Summerland (2004–05). He appeared in the films Flicka (2006) and Dead Silence (2007), a horror film in which he played the leading role, Jamie Ashen.
In 2008 he appeared in a Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in which he portrayed Dominic Pruitt, a US Marine Corps Master Sergeant accused of raping and murdering a fellow Marine and her unborn baby.
In 2008 Ryan Kwanten landed his most prominent role to date when he was cast in the Alan Ball-created HBOdrama True Blood, a show adapted from The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris. Kwanten plays Jason Stackhouse, the show’s resident playboy and younger brother of main character SookieStackhouse.
In 2010, Ryan Kwanten voiced the role of Kludd in the animated-epic film Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, although he was originally set to voice the film’s protagonist Sorren before the role went to Jim Sturgess.
In 2015, he worked as a voice actor in film “Blinky Bill the Movie” for which he was nominated for ‘Kids’ Choice Award’. Some of his latest films include “Category 5” (2017), “Who Gets the Dog?”, (2016), “Supercon” (2017).
In addition to his film career, the Australian-born actor plies his trade in the comedy industry as well.
