Henry opened his tattoo shop, ‘9Mag’ in 2013 in the honor of his sister, Nova and his niece Ava who were murdered by Nova’s ex-boyfriend Fredrick Goings in 2009.
He started tattooing people in 2009 and was also well-known by a big name in the tattoo industry, Miya Bailey.
In 2011, she chose to be his mentor and exposed him to the history of black tattoo culture. Ryan met with some of the best names in the industry and has since excelled.
