Biography and Early Career – Rihanna, aged 31 was born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, one of three children of Monica (Braithwaite) and Ronald Fenty, on February 20, 1988, in Saint Michael, Barbados. Her mother was an accountant while her father worked as a warehouse supervisor. She is of Afro-Guyanese, Afro-Barbadian and Irish ancestry.
While growing up in Bridgetown, Barbados, Rihanna listened to a lot of reggae music as she sold clothes with her father on the streets.
