Philip DeFranco was born Philip James Franchini Jr. on the 1st of December, 1985 in New York City, New York, United States of America and he was also raised there and he grew up with his Italian father and a stepmother who worked at a car dealership.

DeFranco studied at a High Scholl located in The Bronx, New York before he then graduated and enrolled at the University of South Florida.

After graduating from the University of South Florida with a degree in Biology from the Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College.

He then attended the East Carolina University, after graduating he moved from California to Tampa, Florida before relocating to Atlanta, Georgia where he worked odd jobs and as a waiter in restaurants while making YouTube videos, when life got too hard for him in Atlanta, DeFranco decided to return to his father’s house in Tampa, Florida.

Personal Life

DeFranco is married to his wife named Lindsay Jordan DeFranco and they wedded on the 7th of March, 2015 and they gave birth to their first son named Philip James Trey DeFranco III on the 22nd of April, 2014 and gave birth to the second son named Carter William DeFranco on the 8th of September, 2017.

DeFranco began his YouTube career while still a student at the East Carolina University before he began to make money from his YouTube channel, he usually asked for donations from his YouTube fans so as to support himself financially.

He initially talked about gossips, sexual health, and news on his YouTube channel but as time went on he began to incorporate other topics.

DeFranco was a founding member of The Station but later abandoned the Company, in 2008 he starred in Kevin Wu and Jessica Rose’s Hooking Up.

In 2012, DeFranco signed a management deal with Revision3, in November 2013, he guest appeared on the Doctor Who 50th anniversary show, in January 2012, he launched SourceFed.

In 2010, DeFranco in collaboration with Toby Turner co-created CuteWinFail which is an online series and it was once rated as America’s Funniest Home Video, in May 2013, DeFranco sold all his assets including The Philip DeFranco Show and SourceFed to Revision3 and all this increased his net worth.
