Patrick James Rothfuss is an American writer of epic fantasy. He is best known for his series The Kingkiller Chronicle, which won him several awards, involving the 2007 Quill Award for his debut novel, The Name of the Wind.
Patrick James Rothfuss was born on June 6, 1973, in Madison, Wisconsin. He was raised up by his parents in Wisconsin itself.
He went to the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point where he was graduated with a B.A degree in 1999.
During his college, he provided some good content to the campus paper.
For further studies, he went to Washington State University where he got his M.A degree. He is married to Sarah Rothfuss and has a couple of sons.
Just after accomplishing his graduation, Patrick Rothfuss began his professional career as a lecturer at Stevens Point where he was honored with several awards for his phenomenal work. Afterward, he began writing and became a writer.
In 2006 he sold his self-written novel entitled ‘The Name of the Wind to DAW Books’ which actually got released next year.
The novel got him a Quill Award and an Alex Award later next year.
In 2014, He collaborated with James Ernest and created a game called ‘Tak’ which was already featured in his fantasy novel called ‘The Wise Man’s Fear’.
