Born as Ermias Asghedom on the 15th of August 1985, in Los Angeles, California, Nipsey Hussle is noted globally for his rapping skills.

Details about his parent’s names are not anywhere close to the records but sources say that his father was an Eritrean immigrant to the United States while his mother is an African American.

He attended Alexander Hamilton High School in Los Angeles but dropped out after he was accused of destroying one of the school’s property.

So, without direction, he wandered into the streets and was involved in a lot of neighborhood crimes.

In fact, he was an inmate at the LA County Lennox Sheriff department and incarceration; a juvenile facility. After he was released from jail, he joined the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips gang becoming a rapper.

The rapper went ahead to release his first mixtape titled Slauson Boy Volume 1 in 2005. With the release of the album, he became one of the rappers to look out for in the whole of Los Angeles.

He landed a major collaboration deal with Snoop Dogg and was featured in Dogg’s song, Upside Down.

Later in 2010,  Ermias announced his intention of releasing his first music album, South Central State of Mind, however, due to some disagreement with his record label the project was brought to a halt.

Also, that disagreement also brought about the birth of his own record label, All Money In; a record label that has been noted for his excellence and had produced numerous mixtapes as well as albums.

In all, Nipsey Hussle has gone ahead to release a lot more mixtapes, albums and has collaborated with a lot of other celebrated rappers and singers in the music industry.

He later released his debut album in 2018 and the album was nominated as one of the Best Rap Album at the 61st Grammy Awards.

Interestingly, the rapper has also played well as an actor, he bagged a minor role in the autobiographical film, I Tried (2007) and in 2008, he played as the main character in Three Thug Mice.
