His father, William Thomas Hill was a U.S. Navy Captain. His mother, Virginia Suzanne is half Swedish and half English.
Due to his father’s occupation, the Hamill family moved around a lot. This meant that Hamill and his siblings attended numerous schools.
In his pre-high school years, Mark attended Walsingham Academy and Poe Middle School.
At 11 years of age, his family relocated to San Diego where he went to Hale Junior High School. Their constant movement would also cause him to have stints at James Madison High School and Annandale High School.
