Adding to his winning records, he is a three-time champion of Daytona 500, winning the titles of the year, 1997, 1999, and 2005.

He stands in the third position in an all-time Cup-winning list with almost 93 career wins, the most by any racer in NASCAR’s modern era. Gordon’s 81 pole positions is still a NASCAR record. In 1998, NASCAR added Gordon to its 50 Greatest Drivers list.

In 2008, 10 years later, Terry Blount of ESPN ranked him 10th in the 25 Greatest Drivers of All-Time. Foxssports.com also named him as 5th greatest NASCAR driver of all time.

Gordon also co-owns the No.48 Chevrolet which is driven by the great professional racer, Jimmie Johnson, who won seven Cup championships from 2006 to 2010, 2013 and 2016.
