Cheryl Gates McFadden was born on the 2nd March 1949, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio USA, of American and Lithuanian ancestry.

She is an actress, who is probably still best known for starring in the role of Dr. Beverly Crusher in the TV series “Star Trek: The Next Generation” (1987-1994), and in the “Star Trek” film series.

She is also recognized for being a choreographer. She has been an active member of the entertainment industry since 1984.

Gates McFadden spent her childhood in her hometown where she matriculated from high school, after which she moved to Massachusetts to study Theatre Arts at Brandeis University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts cum laude.
