Cheryl Gates McFadden was born on the 2nd March 1949, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio USA, of American and Lithuanian ancestry.
She is an actress, who is probably still best known for starring in the role of Dr. Beverly Crusher in the TV series “Star Trek: The Next Generation” (1987-1994), and in the “Star Trek” film series.
She is also recognized for being a choreographer. She has been an active member of the entertainment industry since 1984.
Gates McFadden spent her childhood in her hometown where she matriculated from high school, after which she moved to Massachusetts to study Theatre Arts at Brandeis University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts cum laude.
Upon graduation, she relocated to Paris, continuing to study Theatre in live-action settings, together with actor Jacques Lecoq.
Prior to her professional acting career, Gates worked as a choreographer for Jim Henson Productions, including in the film “The Dark Crystal” (1982), “The Muppets Take Manhattan” (1984), and “Labyrinth” (1986), among others. All of these works established her net worth.
