Biography

The American TV sensation was born on May 4, 1978, in Lewiston, Maine. Her mother Paula Andrews is a teacher while her father Steven Andrews is a well-decorated TV journalist.

Education

Her early education was acquired from Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, Florida. She was very active in school and participated in the dance team and the school’s student government.

She also studied at Brandon School of Dance Arts in Seffner, Florida. Despite her participation in dance and other activities in school, what Erin used to love the most was hanging out with male classmates to discuss sports instead of making female friends.

After high school, she took her education to the next level and bagged a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Telecommunications from the University of Florida in 2000.

Upon her graduation, Fox Sports Florida gave her a freelance reporter job. From 2001 to 2004, she worked with the Sunshine Network and Turner South network as a studio host and reporter, covering the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Thrashers, and Atlanta Hawks.

Career

She first gained notoriety as a sideline reporter for ESPN covering the NHL, college football and basketball, NFL and Major League Baseball. Erin’s father won 6 Emmys as an investigative journalist in Tampa.

She started her own broadcasting career in 2000 in Florida after graduating from the University of Florida where she was a member of the dance team. Andrews hosted “College Gameday” on ESPNU from 2010 to 2012.

During the same time she was also a correspondent for “Good Morning America”. Andrews was a contestant on the 10th season of Dancing with the Stars. She finished 3rd with her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. She now co-hosts the show. Today she broadcasts primarily for Fox Sports.

Marital Life

The stunning sportscaster is taken. She and her professional hockey player beau Jarret Stoll started dating in December 2012. They looked cute together and their relationship blossomed into the next level when they got engaged in December 2016 and fast forward to June 24, 2017, they made it official by getting married.

The adorable pair is yet to have children but lives with their golden retriever named Howard.

Earlier in 2017 before her wedding, Erin revealed that she had been diagnosed with cervical cancer back in September 2016. According to the sportscaster, she got the appropriate treatment and two surgeries later, the doctors pronounced her cancer-free.

While Erin and her husband were not in a hurry to get married and have children before her battle with cancer, the announcement led to a few changes in their plans for the future.

Currently, they are taking advantage of a fertility plan for in vitro fertilization (IVF) just in case the cancer makes a comeback. Apparently, they want to have their own kids while they still have the chance.
