David B. Samadi was born in 1964, in Iran and was raised in the Persian Jewish community of Iran. He and his brother left the country in 1979 after the Iranian Revolution. He currently resides in Old Westbury, New York, U.S.

Samadi is American by nationality and belongs to the ethnicity of Iranian-Jewish descent. Both the brothers continued their early education in Belgium and London and completed his high school education in Rosslyn, New York.

Samadi attended Stony Brook University, where he graduated earning a degree in biochemistry with a full scholarship. He received a master degree from S.U.N.Y., Stony Brook School of Medicine in Stony Brook, New York in 1994.
