Biography

Hakeem Seriki, known by his stage name Chamillionaire, was born on November 28, 1979, in Washington, D.C., the United States to a Muslim Nigerian father and an African-American Christian mother. He follows Islam by religious faith. Chamillionaire is known to be a rapper, entrepreneur, and investor from Houston, Texas.

Hakeem Seriki is also the CEO of Chamillitary Entertainment.  His younger brother, Rasaq Serik is also an occasional rapper. Chamillionaire is popularly known for his hit songs “Turn It Up” and “Ridin”.

Career

Hakeem Seriki gained recognition for the first time with his freestyle stuff on a radio station. He progressed gradually.

Hakeem Seriki released the album ‘Get Ya Mind Correc’t with Paul Wall which sold 150,000 copies. Their group was called The Color Changin’ Click which again released Controversy Sells in 2005. Chamillionaire’s debut solo album was The Sound of Revenge in 2005 followed by Ultimate Victory in 2007.

In 2007, Hakeem Seriki earned a Grammy Award, for his song Ridin Up, in duo category. Chamillionaire has also explored his skills in acting. In 2007, he appeared in a couple of TV roles like Pimp My Ride and Punk’d and The Game.

Personal life

There is very less information known about the personal life, girlfriend or wife of Chamillionaire; however, it is said that he had an affair with Deetra Gulliory in 2001. There is no information on whether the couple got married or not.

There were also rumors on whether he is gay but those rumors were not established as truth. Chamillionaire had issues with his previous partner Paul wall after he and his entourage allegedly attacked  Rasaq Seriki, the younger brother of Chamillionaire. Their dispute ended in 2010, for they reunited for a full tour.
