Caitlyn Marie was born Bruce Jenner in Mount Kisco, New York. She is the daughter of Esther Ruth Jenner and William Hugh Jenner.

For her studies, Jenner went to Sleepy Hollow High School, in Sleepy Hollow. For her junior and senior years, she attended Newton High school, graduating in 1968.
