Anthony Scaramucci Net Worth 2020, Biography, Career, and Marriage
Anthony Scaramucci Net Worth 2020 – If there has been one word that aptly encapsulated the Donald Trump administration, it is Drama. This unending drama of his Presidency boasts quite an interesting cast, each actor, famous for bringing his own brand of a twist to the tale.
Anthony Scaramucci is one guy who shares a lot of qualities with Donald Trump; Brash, confident, vulgar, savvy and blessed with tons charisma to burn. It’s little wonder the two couldn’t last together in one White House for too long.
Born January 6th, 1964, to Italian-American parents Marie DeFeo Scaramucci and Alexander Scaramucci, Anthony was raised as a devout Catholic in Port Washington on Long Island, New York.
Scaramucci attended Paul D. Schreiber Senior High School in Port Washington graduating with the class of 1982. While in high school, he had his first taste of politics and public service, serving as Student Council President.
He proceeded to Tufts University where he bagged a B.A. in economics in 1986 and later to Harvard Law School. Scaramucci started his career at Goldman Sachs in 1989 as an Investment Banker. A year later, he was sacked but later reinstated after three months and moved to the Equities division.
In 1996, Scaramucci left his role at Goldman Sachs to set up his own hedge fund Oscar Capital Management LLC alongside his friend and former colleague Andrew Boszhardt.
He was responsible for overseeing compliance and research and separately managed accounts with assets totaling over $1 billion. In November of 2001, Oscar Capital was sold to Neuberger Berman.
When Neuberger Berman was sold to Lehman Brothers in 2003, he assumed the position of Managing Director serving from 2003 – 2005, he was in charge of distributing Private Asset Management products into Lehman’s private client service division.
Interestingly, Anthony Scaramucci was once an avid Democrat and in 2008 he was a fundraiser for Barack Obama. He and Obama were Harvard Law School classmates who played basketball together.
By the time the next election cycle had come, Scaramucci had pitched tent with the Republican Party serving as the national finance co-chair for Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign. Romney lost to Obama.
In the run-up to the 2016 election, Scaramucci referred to then-candidate Trump as a “hack politician” whose rhetoric is “anti-American and very, very divisive.”
He all but criticized Trump’s policies, he was a vocal opponent of Trump’s initiative to build a border wall between Mexico and the U.S. He also opposed Trump’s immigration policy which he said Trump was wrong for “trying to blame all of Islam and all Muslims for what is the ideology and the actions of a minority.”
After Jeb Bush pulled out of the Presidential race, Scaramucci switched his support to Donald Trump, joining the campaign finance committee. In July 2017, Scarramucci was appointed as White House Communications Director in an arrangement that was seen by political analysts as strange.
Scaramucci has been married twice, first to Lisa Miranda whom he was married to for 23 years. They went their separate ways in 2011. His second marriage was to Deidre Ball.
They got married on July 11, 2014, Ball filed for divorce from Scaramucci in early July 2017 when she was eight months pregnant with their second child.
Scaramucci has five kids, Anthony Jr., Alexander, and a daughter, Amelia from Lisa Miranda. Deidre is the mother of the two younger sons Nicholas and James Scaramucci.
