With countless movie roles and awards to his name, Indian-born Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan is undoubtedly one of the most notable faces in the Indian film industry. Born into a dynasty of Bollywood filmmakers, Roshan began his acting career as a child star.
However, he was launched into superstardom in 2000 when he starred in one of the biggest Bollywood films of the year Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai. Ever since it has been one box-office hit after another for the Bollywood star.
Hrithik Roshan was born on January 10, 1974, in Bombay, Maharashtra, India. Born into a family of prominent filmmakers, Roshan started appearing in movies in the early 80s as a child actor. A highly gifted dancer, he earned his first acting credit at the age of 6 in the 1980 Bollywood drama film in which he danced in a song.

Hrithik Roshan hit further box-office gold with the comedy-drama film ZindagiNa Milegi Dobara (2011) and the action drama Agneepath (2012).
In 2013, he appeared another box-office monster Krrish 3, a sequel to 2006’s Krrish and 3rd installment of what has become the Krrish film series. Roshan received immense critical praise for his performance in the film in which he portrayed 3 different characters.

His paternal grandfather, Roshanlal Nagrath a.k.a. Roshan was also a music director and composer. His maternal grandfather, J. Om Prakash is a film producer and director.
